MSc Gastronomy Course I was delighted to be asked to return to Queen Margaret University after graduation to deliver lectures as part of the Masters in Gastronomy course. Sessions have included lectures for the Research Methods module - Content Analysis - using my dissertation as a case study and also lectures for the Food Communication module looking at the Changing Context of cooking shows on television and Distinction - Cradock's Culinary Capital, and how food has been communicated on television cooking programmes in history. International Symposium on Communicating Food
University of Chester September 2017 I co-presented some new research in collaboration with Dr Ana Tominc (pictured left) from Queen Margaret University looking at "Nurturing Distinction through Children’s TV Cooking Shows: a Comparison of Case Studies from Britain and Slovenia". The symposium was well attended with many fascinating presentations, including Joanne Hollows (pictured centre) on her research on Jamie Oliver and his relationship with Europe.
